From a young age, all I wanted to do was drive. In the year 2000, at the age of 17, I passed my driving test first time.
In 2001 I decided that I wanted to drive larger vehicles, so I went on to pass my PCV test. I then spent the next 15 years driving buses and coaches.
In 2016 I decided that it was time to pass on my driving experience to the drivers of the future. I spent a year training and passed my final test to become an approved driving instructor in May 2017.
I do not teach my students to pass a test, I teach them to drive safely and economically, Looking ahead and being able to plan ahead for any situation.
My lessons are not stretched out parked on the side of the road talking. I believe that to become a good, safe driver you need practical experience, you should also be able to read the road and judge what other road users are going to do.
I feel that all my students who go on to pass their test will be safe on the road and understand the dangers that may present themselves in the future.
